Close position spawns

I think that close spawns put too much importance on taking the central rooms (which cut off the map for the other team) and lead to too many non-fun rushes. The worst are Drone Bay + Monorail spawns on Descent and Summit is also quite bad.

    The nsl versions of maps have close spawns removed. Play ensl gathers (public, you don't have to be in a clan!) For good games on these!

    Actually, you need the close spawns mod to achieve this. The nsl_versions don't have fixed spawns themselves.

    Okay, thanks for the info. At least, playing on ENSL gathers (ie on those servers) does have this no-close-spawns mod active, so that part of my comment still stands :)

    as in all rts games, that's what scouting is for. central position is typically OP regardless, especially if it has res. put a phase or shift in central, and you're pretty much one room away from every rt on the map.
