I'm just throwing out random idea, for anybody who is currently modding something to consider.
You could use my ideas, or alter them or change them or draw inspiration from them and etc.

Just some ideas for a mod. Overall, minor changes that would potentially make playing NS2 with a controller a reality. Even though that is the primary purpose of my edits, playing with keyboard+mouse would still be fun. This would offer a slightly different style of play.
All suggestions will have to be altered for balance.


Skulks:
Third Person Default
First Person (Optionally set to a re-bindable key)
Camera can be locked or unlocked with a re-bindable key.
Default camera poisition is situated slightly above and behind the skulk, looking forward at a 5 degree angle.
100 hp
20 armor (30 with carapace)
bite 75 damage
parasite 20 damage (Tracks indefinately, until marine reaches an armory)
Leap: Leap launches a skulk at a 45 degree angle projectile motion towards the original direction.
If the skulk comes in contact with a marine hit box during a leap, the skulk will attach itself to the marine.
While the skulk is attached tot he marine, the skulk can let go (ctrl), jump off (spacebar) or bite (mouse1).
When a skulk is attached to a marine, he cannot use his weapons and must have an allied marine shoot the skulks off.
Xenocide Mechanics remain the same.

Gorge:
First Person Default
150 hp
70 armor (130 with carapace)
Gorges receive an additional hydra for every additional Hive.
Gorges gain an additional 2 clogs for every additional Hive.
All other gorge mechanics remain the same.

Lerk:
Third Person Default
First Person (Optionally set to a re-bindable key)
Camera can be locked or unlocked with a re-bindable key.
150 hp
50 armor (80 with carapace)
When roosting, the camera will automatically switch to First Person Perspective.
Lerks spikes do 2 puncture damage per spike and shoots at 200% the current fire-rate.
Dust Trail Tracers are replaced with Acid Trail Tracers. Acid Trail Tracers are only for cosmetics.
Default camera poisition is situated slightly above and behind the lerk, looking forward at a 0 degree angle.

Fade:
Third Person Default
First Person (Optionally set to a re-bindable key)
300 hp
75 armor (900 with carapace)
Swipe 70 puncture damage
Blink: Propels a fade forward and upward at a slight angle of 10 degrees.
Blink is the default movement ability for fades.
Shadow step requires 2 Hives to research.
Vortex Removed.
Fades now have a focus ability
Left-click Focus, in weapon slot 3.
When activated, focus will use 50 energy and provide the fade with a buff that allows him to deal 200% damage on the next strike.

Onos:
First Person Default
1300 hp
500 armor (900 with carapace)
Gore: 95 puncture damage
Smash 100 door type damage
Charge: Pushes in the path of the charge aside and deal 50 normal damage.
Bone Shield: Costs 20 energy. Onos will stand its ground and display his bone horns, which will shield incoming bullets from the front.

    Most of your ideas are pretty easy to do. Why don't you download notepad++ and give it a try..?

    Another famed idea man. If you actually want this to happen you will have to be the one that learns how to code and does it. This actually would be a great intro to modding project.

    However, my personal 2 cents, playing any of those in 3rd person would be awful.
