<div class="IPBDescription">is this still in 1.02 ?</div> Just wondering if the resource bug has been fixed . I have played several games where the marines had very little resource nodes, but were cranking out the HA's and HMGs , just seemed a little odd for me.
Same, but I've noticed it seems to be population based.
Play with 10 or fewer players per team, and the rp flow seems to be normal.
But I was playing on a 32 player (ugh) server the other night, and the marines were just murdering the aliens, cranking out HMG's and HA in under 5 mins. Next round I went on marines to see if the rp's were bugged, and with the single starting node, the Marines were getting 50 rp a SECOND. Just watched it go up and up and up...
I checked tho, couldn't destroy any buildings. It seemed to be V1.02, execept for the extream resources.
the server i played on where i saw that was a 24 player server .. maybe it is population based, i will have to check that out. And i haven't really noticed any problems with that b4 on servers with 12 slots.
On three different occasions I've seen games where marines had insane resources that was not possible.
Normal 22 person servers.
On one of those occasions I went over to the marine team and had a look. Commander had very few nodes and was plopping down dozens of turrets all over. No logical explaination other than bug/exploit or a hack.
Just today I got done playing eclipse where marines had at most 3 nodes, and a half dozen or more turrets in maintenance at the very early point in the map. Aliens attacked it and it was rebuilt. Resource nodes compelte with turret defenses went up ALL over the map, we'd destory them and they'd pop right back up.
From playing marines a lot I know that that amount of stuff is just not possible, especially if it is destroyed. Losing an outpost with turrets hurts a lot, and being able to replace it costs even more.
I'm convinced there is either a resource bug out there or a hack on resources.
I haven't seen it where it affects aliens...provided there's only 2 gorges they can build pretty much non-stop anyway. But on marines it's very very noticable.
