Anyway to disable map "blur"?

When you bring up the map, everything else gets blurred a bit besides the map (like ammo count on marines, etc). It's not that a big deal but is there anyway to disable this?

Nope, there might be a mod that removes it. But consistency checking would deny it from working on most servers.

A cool effect, if not for the fact it blurs away the Skulk about to munch your face.

Wasn't too long ago it got added.

Ahh I see . Is there a specific reason it is in the game? I played NS1 with the map up like 80% of the time and I like doing the same with NS2.

It's not that big of a deal in NS2 but it does cause me to lose focus and get some eye strain at times due to the blurriness (it's a problem I have sometimes in general, the blurriness makes it a bit worse).

When I die in an ambush, I blame the map blur. UWE pls nerf map blur.

There is a mod, and I've never had it disabled personally.

There is a mod to remove it, map blur is an exception on ENSL consistency check so you can use it in the league/gathers.
