Comm highlighted areas.

With the grid system i would love to see the comm have the ability to highlight certain areas for the player's map. Say red for enemy owned, yellow for contested, and green for not likely to engage in combat.
This would allow new players to get a better feel for maps and when they need to either sneak, stop sprinting, or focus their attention on areas. What comes to mind is flags in mine sweeper. Doesnt mean there is a mine but reminds the player of the possibility. Maybe even a blue for priority area to defend. Something non invasive and doesnt overwhelm the map. Im sure the art designers could come up with something awesome.
