gorge tunnels on walls

allow gorge tunnels to be built on walls and ceilings, advantages of this would be to hide gorge tunnels better.

why would you want a gorge tunnel on a ceiling? think about it, allow skulks lerks and fades able to use it while marines without JP and exos cant
trade off? onos and gorges would not be able to get in, just imagine how fun it would be to have a gorge tunnel on the floor of a hive to allow onos to use it to fall off a ceiling on the other side on top of marines, possibly getting killed or surprising the marines by killing them all

possibilities are expanded

The only issue I see with this is troll Gorges that place one above crevice and telling their Onos to go through it. Other then that, it seems like a "pretty cool" idea. Would require a ton of map testing though to avoid exploitability issues and I'm not so sure about excluding the ground based guys from use :P

As long as you say ceiling (and exclude the sky box) I dont see it being a major issue.

Have to admit not being able to even place on walls is annoying and a little strange.

Agreed, I'd love to be able to place them on walls and ceilings. Some trolling can be prevented by just checking on the map where it goes, but you can't always prevent trolling (nor should you necessarily not implement certain things to prevent it). The "need a commander to start a game" mechanic is prone to trolling, but that didn't stop it from being implemented. Neither should this.
