Cannot launch game any more unless I delete system_options.xml

Hi, I was playing last night after updating to the new patch, and it ran without any problems at all. Today I try to launch the game and I just get a black screen for a few seconds then an error report window pops up.
It reads:
I have verified integrity of game cache and it needed 6 files, which I downloaded. Ran the game again and same problem. Deleted the mods from AppData
then this, so what can I do to rectify this problem? Reinstalling, unfortunately, is not an option
Well I deleted everything in AppData/Natural Selection 2/ and it worked, no to reconfigure everything and get my crosshairs back
So it worked whilst I played, then when I try to start it again it gives me the same error, cba doing this everytime I want to play
Turns out I have to delete system_options.xml before I launch everytime I want to play.
It reads:
