Refinery server crash & low FPS

In Pipeworks, I was attacking the the power node as an Onos (facing the barrels/exit), with 3 turrets firing from my left. After a few seconds my FPS dropped to about 5-10. Then the server crashed showing the red connection icon.
There's blood splat now, right? I thought it was maybe tons of those stacking up or something.
