Difficulty placing medpacks/structures

Any other comms find it very hard to place structures/medpacks? I often have to move my screen several times in order to place them. The only thing I notice is sometimes an "out of range" message. Any one else experience this? It makes comming very very difficult.

In addition why isnt there a cancel beacon button yet?!
