Before & After Reflection & Refraction

Sorry to disappoint, but I don't have any, which is why I wanted to start this thread. My computer is too crap to play NS2 on high graphics settings, so I was wondering if anyone would mind posting screenshots of how the game looked before and after the new reflection and refraction rendering techniques were added to the game?

Some examples of what Reflections does. Looks really good if you ask me, and looks even better in motion.

Cheers for that Cim! Anyone able to show the refraction stuff? I imagine some kind of glass block would be required.

Just a note: if you have some unexpected performance loss you may want to lower decal lifetime or disable decals altogether. Very high lifetime can eat up a lot of video memory and if you drag the slider all the way to the right the decals are more or less permanent (a handy feature if you're making a video, but otherwise pretty horrid for performance).

Just make sure you double check your settings as some things may have changed to new default positions with the new build.

Oh, really? Cool. Thanks for that handy tip. By default, the decals disappear way too fast for us to play tic-tac-toe while waiting for the game to start.
