Fixing Bile Bomb! (This could work!)

As it stands the community is divided on Bile Bomb, it's something that's plagued marines while simultaneously being the heroic savior for aliens.
It's all stimmed from bilebombs massive structural damage combined with its incredibly long range. I personally love the ability and being able to use cover to bile from is tons of fun, but I don't believe it should be able to be spammed so much at such a long range, it's too easy and too simple.
My proposal is a simple change!!!
Keep bilebombs damage as is, however, allow a player to "charge" the attack. The longer they charge it the longer its range will be. If they don't charge it (If they just click) the bilebomb could just fly a few feet from the gorge.
This would let gorges still have their incredible base destroying power, but make their solo rushes far weaker.
In example: Say for a full range bilebomb to be launched a gorge must first charge the ability for two seconds. This means that a single gorge won't be able to megaspam bile with a shift towards an incoming exo wave while behind cover (at long distances), forcing the exo's to dance around until they have enough support to rush into the base. It would give the enemy a chance to push in with a mechanized force, and the best part is that once they've closed the distance, the risk of bile becoming a serious issue INCREASES as gorges won't have to charge the ability as long to hit their targets.
This wouldn't prevent gorges from being able to rush a base, it would simply mean that in order for them to get their stacks in quicker and more effectively they'd have to BE IN THE BASE up close and personal with what they're attacking, a fair trade for anyone daring enough to assult a marine base by themselves or with a group. It adds more risk to these attacks.

There seem to be a pretty fair number of potential fixes, all of which would do one thing or another to either decrease BB's effectiveness or buff structure/power nodes.
Do we have the numbers on that?
