MN NS2 LAN Party Weekend?? Kickstarter??

So I have no idea if this could actually happen, but I was thinking of maybe hosting a LAN Party somewhere around the Minneapolis Area this summer. I don't know what sort of interest there might be or where we could host it. I work in IT and have access to any networking equipment we would need. Space would be the biggest question mark, it would be awesome if anyone who attends a college in the area could look into acquiring some space for a weekend. If we need to rent space maybe we can set up a Kickstarter for funding it. I just think this would be a blast.
Just an idea, a friendly get together of NS2 Fans playing a game we love. I would be shooting for some weekend in July or August not the 4th of July weekend because that is CON-vergence. Thoughts?
Additionally if it makes more sense and we can get more interest somewhere like Chicago I would be willing to drive down... although my car is tiny so no borrowed network equipment if it is outside the twin cities.
