Does bone wall cause server lag?

Was just in a server that was running fine while we played aliens, then when teams switched the tickrate dropped down to 15. The only thing I can think of that would've caused it is the other team used bone wall a lot... anyone know if that can cause the tickrate to drop?

    Unfortunately, a number of things can cause the server performance to drop and trying to figure out what would require more info about the server and conditions in question.

    Bonewall has a 30 second cooldown.

    More likely the alien commander actually placed structures, as opposed to not spending any res like many alien coms.

    Nothing ends a turtle like a drifter rush. Rush 2423 drifters with your players. Fire enzymes. Attack marines, especially exos to block the guns. Just move the drifters as a giant bullet blocking blob.

    also everything that uses physx can cause server lag when done in huge amounts. spamming ~200 meds/ammopacks, killing 10 hives in 5 seconds (or in general: kill a huge amount of structures in a few secondes [arcs], especially ragdoll can cause server lag [ you would have to kill ~50 onos though] )
    most of them dont happen usually but sometimes the server is under heavy load and the next big thing can cause a huge lag ( mostly server "choke" )

    Arent ragdolls calculated on the client instead of servers? At least thats what games usually do.
