Parasite spinal tap

As summed up in this topic, parasite could do with a small buff. What I am thinking today is a kill move, if a skulk hits a marine in an exact spot in the back of his neck, the marine dies quietly and possibly with no warning (kill not shown until a bit and/or silent).

This also buffs shade hive as a possible starting evolution.

On the other hand, this would make high level skulks very powerful. Any thoughts?

Too much. Increased damage if you hit head would be nice though. Something like 30-40.

It is too much AND it doesn't really fit its intended use. Turning a primary reconnaissance tool into one-hit kill skill shot is pretty unintuitive and not really a good change in my opinion.

Ultimately, I think the suggestions in the thread you linked to are better ideas. Allow parasite tag buildings, and make its duration unlimited, unless removed by medpack, armory or welder. Nothing else is needed.

LOL one hit kill from basically infinite distance would be possible... Have you even played something like counterstrike at a high level? Aim can be VERY good, a single skulk could also potentially kill 4-5 marines (double that with adrenaline) without exposing himself with this modification.

It would have to be up close, both realistically and in game, and I like poloq's suggestion, that it just does increased damage... Possibly the closer the skulk the more damage?

Also, a small point on the neck to kill 4-5 marines? Outside of an aimbot I don't think it would happen that quickly.
