Where to report bugs? Like these two exploits.

Like this one for example, We just found it on Tram dont know if someone else reported this or where I'm supposed to report this.

This is clearly not intended as the marine is invisible and you cant get him as a skulk, only lerk spikes or gorge spit. This spot is really OP if aliens start in warehouse and puts a harvester in ore processing.

We also found this bug

and I posted it on NS2 / NS2HD twitter and I think we posted it to wasabione also but its still doable.

Where do we report these kind of stuff?

I would call that first one 'well done' and leave it in.
Either the marine has to come out eventually.. or he wastes time if the res tower is gone. Also promotes more teamplay from kharaa.

    Thats 2nd one however.... :p

The first one I don't have a problem with. Mappers know *exactly* how wide (and tall) marines and skulks are, and they often make areas where one can reach and the other can not. While I doubt the mapper consciously planned it, the bottom line is that he can still be killed. (plus he's really not in a place where he can do much harm) If this was overlooking a tech point then I would agree, but since it's not I don't see the issue.

The second one seems to be a game mechanic. I suspect you could do this with any two aliens. It would be interesting to see if gorges could pull this off. :D

We tried to replicate the "flying" thing with other lifeforms but never managed to succeed.

Thanks for that first video, now I know how to get up to that vent as a marine :P

If anything I think the first one is the problematic one. No marine should be able to get somewhere that the alien base unit (skulk) cannot. It essentially forces a gorge or lerk to use it's projectile attacks to kill him. And what if there's no lerk or nobody has enough res to lerk, and the gorge is on the other side of the map, and can't respond in time (likely they won't even know they're needed until the harvestor is already dead as it's a the non-support classes job to respond to such a threat, not the gorge's). Meanwhile a skulk or a pack of skulk can't do shit because the marine is in an exploit location.

The second one just seems like harmless fun. And if somebody actually coordinates and uses it to effect in a match, like for example to get a jetpacker in crevice, then kudos to them for that! I wouldn't get pissy and call exploit on that - I'd be laughing my head off and say 'good job!'.

Also, thanks for teaching me how to get to that vent.

Well now I know how to get Onos up onto that platform near the ceiling on the southern end of Lava Falls :p

You really think collapsing two colliders and blasting into outter-space is an intended interaction? 0_o....

I'm fine with the first one, if the Commander can't drop medpacks/ammo back there.

I've seen the second one before. Two Onos, doing a weird mating ritual, doesn't bother me. Marines doing long jumps off skulks backs, because of this same mechanic, bugs me a bit.

Probably just has proportionally smaller timing/positioning window, making it near impossible to pull off.

Hard to call something an exploit when there is no practical way to take advantage of it. I really can't think of anything that would make it worth doing. MAYBE if you wanted to kill a marine hiding in some high spot and there were no other lifeforms around, but it's still a waste of time.

First one is fine, he can't get ammo drops and will eventually have to come out or be useless.
The second one is hilarious and serves no real use in a game, so leave it in :P

Afaik, to report map exploits you open console and type annotate "description" while at the relevant position. Don't know if they are checked anymore though.

The second one was discovered and presumably made known to UWE months ago, though nice work finding it again :p! You can do it with all lifeforms/marines. They must not consider it a bug, or its rooted too deeply to be fixed in short time who knows. Collision problems have plagued ns2 since forever. For all future bugs, it seems like what you're supposed to do is email brianc@unknownworlds.com or pm any random ns2 playtester you see on the forums?

The area in the first one wouldn't exist if it wasn't intended. I don't think the annotate function is meant to be used here.

At this point, let's call the second issue a feature and have someone make a trick climbing map around it.
