Stickied Threads

Enjoying the new site but have noticed how little of the screen is dedicated to active threads. Would it be possible to either reduce the space taken up by the logo, banner etc. and/or reduce the space assigned to stickied threads? I can't speak on behalf of others but I rarely peruse stickies anyway so if they could be in a drop-down menu or something, that would be awesome.

Not a major gripe in the grand scheme of things, though.

Hmm, scratch that. After playing around, I found "options - dismiss" which is beautiful. Loving the extra functionality.
