Increasing usability of single exos, they seem unloved :<

I've been noticing that yeah, the single exos really see very little use in the game and in most cases, once singles are researched duals are instantly on the way.
So I had an idea that would both increase the usefulness of single exos, and reduce the chance of the whole "marines researched dual exos, we now stomp and win".

My idea is to change the requirement for dual exos to be three com chairs, while leaving single exos to only require two, this also means that marines should feel as though they need to capture more than just two com chairs to win a game. As compensation to make sure that the alien heavy weapons, i.e. onos don't become op, onos could possibly require two hives rather than just one.
Obviously I'm not sure on the finer details, but I really think this could work to stop dual exo stomping and increase the use of single exos.

tldr; Single exos require two com chairs, duals require 3, onos require 2 hives rather than one to compensate.

Thoughts?

I really like the idea that marines have to capture 3 com chairs to get dual exo, because the latest games I've been in the marines does not care to take more comm chair than 2. I'll give an example; On the map Docking where the Marines start in Terminal, they will most probably head straight to locker for the second comm chair, to cut off the aliens from getting three hives (and thus the ability to drop Onos egg, abilities as stomp, umbra and so on). And therefore cafeteria is often standing empty of any marine buildings.
I would like to see some pressure for the marines to get their dual exos, there is already lots of pressure for aliens to get three hives.

Totally disagree. Three chairs for duals is an awful idea since the symmetry is 2 hives on one side and 2 hives for the other side. 3 hives is map control, and usually winning, and is a non-symmetric position.

Single exos can be improved by making them available at one chair and perhaps allowing singles to build with the free arm; thus making singles viable even when duals are around - i.e. dualies don't have to be the default better option.

The problem here is that if you buy a regular exo, you don't have the option to upgrade to a dual exo. You've spent 50 res, and are stuck with it. Most people will instead save up for 75 res and get the dual.

I read at some point that dual exo was supposed to be a purchased upgrade from the single exo, and I'm hoping that it's something that will be put in at some point. But, I would also like to note that the Feb content build will be including new features for exo's (railguns?), so we may see other changes associated with that as well (purchasable upgrades from single exo?)
