Who the hell ever turns off alien vision for a reason other than that it limits your view range in some areas?

I think an upgrade should be available to make marines invisible or very nearly invisible to alien vision.

Could be researchable at proto lab, though only requiring one command station... Or at an AA but requiring two.

I would say 5-10 res would be an acceptable cost to purchase per marine, however since strategies that rely on it would be pretty unreliable (havent given this masses of thought, someone correct me if you wish!) I think it might do better as a passive upgrade.

Might also be worth considering whether or not it should be compatible with JP but I'm undecided on this one.

I'm just brainstorming here guys, what are yourned thoughts? :D

Why do you need armor if you can use mud Arnold style

Alien Vision exists for a reason. Nerfing it just makes the game less fun for aliens. We should simply be changing the effect so that using it doesn't ruin the art.

Hey, it's not a bad idea, guys. It'll give me a reason to actually turn off the alien vision once in awhile.

Let me clarify - at the moment, alien vision has 0 strategic use; the only use is to have it on 100% of the time to give aliens a huge visibility advantage over marines. This is fine in darkness but with the lights on it still gives this advantage.

On second thoughts - how about alien vision makes things less visible in well-lit situations? Much like how noctournal animals vision suffers greatly during the day/ in twilight. This would at least make alien vision more plausable/realistic and give it a situational use rather than basically making it a hi-vis skin, mods of which are frowned upon in pretty much every game.
