How one or 2 guys can decide for 20 others

<div class="IPBDescription">Mods and skills</div>I've played a lot recently and found out that most games turn around 1 or 2 guys which is kinda sad. You know the only one that get a score of 35-3 or even 50-4? Add a couple of them on the same team and peoples start to f4 pretty quickly the moment the game start to get repetitive. I mean by that you meet the guy and die no question ask. Funny thing is it seems that there is always one or two of them in most games. As if having skills in natural selection 2 meant to be hunting down players with clearly less aptitudes most of the time. As if they where effraid to play against peoples of the same skills.

There should be a ranking system of some kind. I've played games where everyone was about the same skill and it was amazing. Nobody ragequitted, everyone had a good tiem. Games with aimbot kinda like players quickly get repetitive and frustrating. Instead of pushing the limits of the game by trying and giving everything they have peoples simply f4 and move to another game which is why new players might be having a hard time getting addicted to this game like I am. Needless to say it also lead to frustrating and sometimes quite depressing conversations. You can't fix maturity (mine will probably always stay broken at the troll level) but you might want to offer incentives for fairness.

As such I've been quite depress to learn that you can mod the game to get aliens with brighter colors, modified crosshairs, etc. Just: wtf. Why not allow everyone to be at the same level unless you play on a modded server? It's foolish to think that peoples have the same experience at shooters. It also unbalance the game in my opinion mostly for a concept included up to 24 peoples at the same time.

And this is where the troll truly lie: I'm not sure what could be done without breaking the experience of good players. Having new and old players togheter is also a good thing since in general the community of players are surprisingly quite friendly and willing to teach what they know. They don't have to be pushined for being good neither :P You might just want to protect a little bit longer the experience of new players. Also just don't allow modified version of options other then in mod games. I just don't find it fair at all. Hell before reading it on the forum here I had no idea you could do this at all.

Anyway I might be wrong in part or in all of this. But as an not godly marine shooter and one jump 3 bites kill alien player I'm certainly interested in having the most possible number of players to lose my lack of godly skills among all the others. :P Can't say I'm not honest.

Peace all and good game.

I've always thought displaying the average skill level of a server in the server browser would help with this. I find playing in matches where I'm effectively stomping as boring and frustrating as getting stomped. However, there is no way to gauge how skilled the players in a server are before actually playing a match or two. Personally, I either try to put myself on the opposite side of other skilled players to make it more even or I switch to another server to try again.
