Spark Engine

Hey guys!
I just wanted to ask if the spark engine was really created from scratch?
I really like the game since i bought it during the steam winter sale, but im really impressed theyve achieved such nice graphics with their own team!
However, even when creating an engine "from scratch", you use certain frameworks. Which have they used, anyone knows? :)

Max is actually the lone developer for the engine, he based it off another engine he had been creating called the Maxor engine. So yea he made it himself pretty much. It does use technologies such as DirectX and PhysX as well.
