Lathe Tool

A lathe tool would be like the extrude tool, but for spinning a selection around and creating a 3D object from a 2D profile. It would basically make the curved geometry tutorial be done with one tool instead of pain staking steps.

Hey, these are all good suggestions but perhaps you should group them together so it can be read all in one place. Plus it keeps the forum looking more tidy. Like I said though, good suggestions.

It is called "revolve" in almost all others 3D programs

Yeah, I'll group it all together. I just kind of post them as I think of them. I did/do a lot of CAD and 3D modelling work and I find myself wanting a lot of the functionality of them when trying to make my map hehe.

They just need to blanket copy Sketchup. That's what is was originally based on. Unfortunately, they ignored its way of doing groups.

Or use exporters from the big modeling programs.. they've got lots of experience manipulating polygons, use that experience.

Then just use sparkedit for entity setup.
