Lag Issues from 2 users on same router

My wife and I play from the same internet connection. Using the server browser, if we find a server with ~60 ping, when the other one joins it they shoot up to ~250 ping. The first person that joined stays around 60.

We've tried with me joining first and with her joining first. Either way, the 2nd person to join gets to enjoy high ping and jumpy framerates with "real" 250ping lag issues.

    sounds like a QoS setting

    We don't use QoS on our home router. It's only NS2 where it happens. I seriously doubt TWC cares enough to put QoS on whatever port NS2 is using for client side.
