Does 1000 make the game microstutter?
A user on the NS2 Reddit posted this issue. I thought I would relay it here so I can get an answer for him and anyone else curious.
"I don't know if this bug is fixed not, but when I set my mouse polling rate to 1000 the game seems to micro stutter. The FPS will stay at 60 but it will appear laggy. I know when I set it to 125 it was fixed. Yhis is also the only game this has happened to me in."
Report Rate (Logitech Information)
Select how many times per second the mouse reports it's position to the operating system. Higher settings provide smoother, more responsive pointer movement, but also consume more CPU bandwidth.
Standard mice generate 125 reports/second, but most Logitech mice support full-speed USB, allowing up to 1000 reports/second. For serious gaming applications Logitech recommends 500 reports/second as a good balance between pointer responsiveness and CPU utilization.
