People will start mocking eachother or they will start babbling about something TOTALLY different, why? is this because they are all so excited about the NS release? ooor, is this just to be a pain in the butt? lol

It's known as being ####### stir crazy and impatient for NS to come out. That and I'm just plain an ####### because I hate my job and I need to work it to graduate this year, even though I probally won't because I still have to finish some after school crap that I don't have time for because of my job. Also, Jacius and a few others insulted my intelligence in the MIRC room because I stated my opinion that they shouldn't judge the people who engage in computer piracy so much, because they're taking the risk of Jail and/or computer viruses, and they'll get what they deserve in the end. Apparently Jacius thought I was an idiot for stating my opinion. I don't see how my opinion bears on my intelligence, but whatever.

This is nothing! Check out a "real" debate board like Dumpshock.com or Darwin Awards. Or heck, Bulldrek.com semi-serious topics. Then read a post on any of the following...religion, politics (espically US), and gun control.

    Enjoy (yeah right).

Well, that's the crux with every board that has more than four members, get used to it or become a hermite.

Jedisar: I wasn't there when it happened, but while I see that you've changed, everyones first impression of you wasn't exactely the best. I'm sure that'll change if you decide to stay by the way you're posting now (= only if you've got something to say).

I have definately seen both these forums get a bit out of hand, and also Jedisar do the complete opposite and start posting mature and well-informed comments. Its been quite a shock actually, I just wih hed stop calling me ####-boy.

Exactly 007, and thats why we would all like to keep it like it is. Posting comments about the direction of the forums is, in my view, both related to the NS community as a whole and necessary to ensure a good community.

The first step to fixing something is to identify the problem...

I'm asuming you guys are talking about blatant insults and cutdowns, right? That definately needs to stop.

Though I still want to be able to engage in heated (yet mature and friendly) debates over in the mapping forums. I always get a kick out of seeing how worked up I get, afterwards.

Ken, there's nothing wrong with heated debate, until it borders harrassment, and people taking potshots at each other. Everything's fine until the random name-calling begins. Then we have to start editing posts... (I'm coming for you Jacius )

ermmmmm....... admins just make a rule flaming makes you loose 10 posts... simple.

That is a rather nice idea... but I prefer a seven-day lockdown of the account, plus a 50 post reduction in post counts. I'll have to think about that one.
