<div class="IPBDescription">to NS2</div>i miss the NS1's jet fuel of being able to fly around the map easily unlike NS2... i can barely make 20 feet then having slow regeneration fuel.
I played a mod that freed up movement a lot, which was awesome fun. In particular, jetpacking was a lot better, but alien movement and leaping had also been tweaked to compensate for this.
I think jetpacks are balanced at the moment (despite maybe needing a slightly higher cost), but would definitely like to see a more ns1esque jetpack. It would have to be met with changes to skulk movement, jumping, and leaping, and perhaps better fades too, in order for it not to break the balance.
Unfortunately, ns2's design philosophy behind movement seem to favour making it incredibly restricted, as opposed to more responsive and free, which I feel is a shame, as the latter option would make for a much more fun game.
