Can i run NS2?

Hi all

I was wondering if i can run this game
I meet the minimun requirements (on steam)
But system requirementslab tells me i cant run it

Here are my specs:


windows 7 32 bit
dual-core E5300 @ 2.6 ghz
3 gb ram
Geforce 9500 GT 256mb (total memory 1.5 gb)


I dont know if you need more info
Or if this is enough

    I'm fairly sure you can't. I'm not very familiar with that GPU, but 256MB video memory and 1.5GB total memory is really too little. Then the CPU is also on the weak side (despite what the minimum requirements say).

    You will, I did run it with E5200 (2.5 GHz) + Geforce 9600GSO+ (512 MB RAM). You will get minimum 15fps in heavy combat and you will need to play on low screen resolution. Main bottleneck is your GPU right now. It's very wise to overclock CPU to ~3.5GHz, those processors overclock very good (yup I did it).


    Edit: Angelusz can be right with GPU video memory..

    That site isnt always reliable
    That's why i asked it here
    There are a lot of games i dont get to the minimum requirements (far cry 3 for example)
    But i can still play those games
    But thx anyway :)

    I bought the game
    And its playable
    Around 30 fps most of the time
    Only late game the game stutters a bit
    But thats not to big of a deal
    So for everyone with a sort of similar system
    The game is playable but dont expect fantastic graphics (gameplay over graphics right?)

    Good to read! "playable" is a relative term. My advice was based on the assumption that you'd want good FPS (~>60). The good thing is, commanding, gorging etc. are not so reliant on a high FPS, so you should be fine enjoying the game. :)
