Ill record a ton more
Ill try and see if I can get you frag type kills like tripple or quad kills with LMGs or shotguns ect
Maybe some EXO footage as well
I mostly record entire games
Advice: Wait until after the holiday season when they release the big update they've been speaking of in January. All your demos will be outdated/unusable then and they may build in improved demo/recording features.
Unless you mean actual raw footage from players, rather than demos, in which case that would never look good as you're pulling your source videos from different resolutions, frame rates, etc.

Well everyone should be on 1920x1080 and 30fps
which is pretty standard format for recording
I could see people recording with differant graphic settings which might change how the final product would look
Are you sure about that?
In the changelog of build 224, it said that: "Demos are no longer build-specific"
And it have been proven correct so far.
You seem to have an idea that they are changing/improving the demo system for the patch, which I personally haven't read anywhere.
Do you know something I don't? ;)
I'm making my own.

Actually, I'm not in the least bit sure about that. I'll happily be wrong about demos being build-specific, as that is a huge pain in the ass in other games. I never noticed that on 224.
Second, I don't know anything you don't but it's a complaint a lot of people have stated and it fits in with UWE's needs. If they want more user captured footage/demos to diagnose and reproduce both client-side and server side glitches, errors, bugs, etc... they're going to need to make it easier to record actively in game and improve demo playback. Going hand in hand with those hopeful improvements would be things like making demos independent of the FPS recorded originally, better manipulation (ie fast forward, skip, pause, etc).
I was told demos can be buggy and dont record system sounds(like mic input ect)
I am recording with a lossless codec with DXtory
Quality should be pretty good even after its rendered
How would you record the game to upload to youtube anyway?
I dont think you can upload a NS2 demo to youtube

He's saying, to make a proper high-quality AVI, the end users need to submit all their demos to one person, who then takes the time to pick apart the demo, record the raw footage in the highest possible quality and make a movie out of it.
Taking raw footage from multiple sources will lead to different qualities, resolutions, frame rates, etc. What if I use MSI Predator to capture and compress with lossless Huffy. Those are still different rates, programs and attributes.
Besides, even if 1920x, 30 FPS is "standard", in this game there may be some great footage that couldn't capture raw footage consistently at that resolution with that frame rate.

Yeah, I don't think it was the best idea to post that improvements may be coming soon(next patch) if you don't know anything about it in the first place. It's never good to spread false rumours :P
Sure, I know that it's something they want to improve in the future. They stated that earlier, but they did not say when they start working on it.

... You're kidding right?
Read my post, I said one thing that I actually didn't know (demos not being outdated) and another thing that clearly had the word "may" in front of it and was clearly hopeful but not a statement of fact.
Jesus.

No, I'm not kidding.
You're clearly giving him advise to wait on doing anything, because of your assumptions of an update on the demo system that have not been announced by UWE.
Yes, you have the word "may" in before you talk about _improvements_ on the demo system, but including that in your "advise" at least made me misunderstand what you were trying to say.
Anyway, it does not matter much now that it's cleared up.

Yeah that you're a nitpicking brat?
I gave the advice of "wait" primarily based on the assumption that demos were broken after updates. Again, something I didn't know. That is why it's the first and primary reason listed, and mistakenly, stated as fact.
Then I started conjecturing said "and they may".... They may. I don't know how else to present that as anything but "hope" and not fact than saying "they may". Waiting 2 weeks may make his life easier. Especially if I was originally coming from the context of his current demos have a 1 month shelf life, max.
You're ignoring the first facet, which I already admitted was an error on my part, to be a ###### about the 2nd part.
I don't know why, but get off of it guy.

Haha, good one on the personal attacks. Do you often get riled up when people correct you or misunderstand you?
All I wanted was to make sure that no one else(not to mention the OP) misunderstood you like I did.
I'm not ignoring anything, I misunderstood your statements and posted to clear it up. No need to be rude.
I think you are taking this a bit too personal, which you shouldn't. Welcome to the internet.
And please don't derail the OPs thread further just because youre butthurt, I think he would appreciate that.
