Lerk Max Glide Turn Rate

Hello,
When gliding as lerk one can do a 180° turn almost instantly. You can fly into a small vent, turn around and fly back out without loosing any speed, among other things.
However, if you do turn just a bit too fast, you exit glide mode. Why? Is this a bug to be fixed? Will the lerks model look terrible when it turns this fast?
I see little point to limiting the lerk turn rate considering it is so high already.
I don't know if many players do turn fast enough to notice this when lerking, however I frequently do and I find the results displeasing.
Regards,
Tom.

But the way it is now, there's some risk involved in doing a quick 180º turn.

yeah, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense i guess. couldn't figure out what i was doing wrong for the longest time.
Just do a 360 before you hit the door.
Instant 360° turns are possible, it seems they're detected as a relative 0° turn.
You can do instant 90° turns, the limit seems to be around 135°.
Does anyone know if the max turn rate varies? I might be mistaken, but it feels as if maximum turn rate varies with framerate.
Also, I enjoy the fact that doors don't open instantly, doing a 360 before entering one is always fun, though I guess leaving would be a bit frustrating.
Well it is gimicky I guess. You can fly into buildings and not loose speed, why not give doors the same property?
Agreed, you should be punished for flying into walls, just like the lerk used to.
