Played so many of the graphics intensive games in the past and this the first game where I am forced to lower my resolution in order for it to be playable, which is the last thing I want to do given my large screen size.

I also notice seeing many instances of "Unable to open file" in the console when ingame

Any ideas?

Hm well the 460 is not a really strong card for the games of today. even I had an GTX 470 SOC some time ago and it wasnt able to run Battlefield 3 that well (1280x720 lowdetails @ 40-50 fps in action @32players).

The resolution takes some tons where a GTX460 will get fast to its end same for the 470.
NS2 is not that way well optimized yet but u wanna wait some months to get it fixed ? :P might shoulda think about changing the card into atleast a 560TI
