After a bit of delay, Flawed Existence is making a comeback to the ns2 scene. FeX was New Zealand's oldest Natural Selection clan, founded by Sebly and D_Sniktch. Eventually, after the clan nearly disbanded, leadership passed onto me, then my brother Shotty, Topper, and Tempo. Unfortunately many of our past members are either not active enough, disillusioned by the state of ns2, or simply can't run the game or invest enough time into playing to be part of the competitive scene.
As of now we are looking for new recruits to fill out an active roster. We will only be accepting people from the Australasian region, who have a decent connection - unless you are special and can somehow outclass most good players on a 56k modem. Recruits must own a headset and a computer capable of running NS2 semi-decently (doesn't have to be constant 60 fps, but I imagine most would have trouble keeping up at 10 fps) and also be active on the ns2 scene (this means that you play relatively regularly, but not necessarily every night of the week). Members must also be relatively mature - not 'devoid of fun' or anything, but we don't want people who aren't going to go around being ######s and trolling servers and generally giving us a bad name.
As for level of skill - We aren't looking for just 'pro' players with who get 100/0 k/d every game, though must at least be able to show a formidable level of skill in the pub circuit, and a slight level of competence in competitive games. I imagine this clan will start of rather casual at least to begin with, and we certainly won't require every member of our team to scrim every day of the week, though would like to get into the routine of scrimming or practicing maybe 2 nights of the week (as lots of people play at different times to each other, and thus can sometimes prove difficult to gather everybody together to commit to a time to play).
In the past, FeX has been a rather expansive clan, with lots of members with ranging levels of activity and skill. We hope to grow our active member list to at least 12 people, so that we can practice each other and have enough that one day we will have enough people online and ready to play most nights of the week. At the moment, it hasn't been decided how many people we are looking to recruit, though will probably be around 4 people for now. We would like a larger active rostor, but are unsure how many former members are yet to return (any past FeX member who's reading this should note that if you've been in the clan before, you're welcome to return).
My steam account name is 'mysteryroach'. Add me if you're interested, and we'll set up some practice scrims to determine suitability.
