Public server defaults

Why is crap like this allowed with default server settings? Mods should have to be explicitly turned on by the admins during server install so they are aware of the consequences. Consistency checks should otherwise cut down on these easy to use exploits by default.
Steam WorkShop mod highlights all aliens bright green/white:

From the same guy, two more mods for "Hiding Yo Gun Models":

I can't find it right now, but there's also a mod (ESP?) that shows arrows around your crosshair to indicate where damage is coming from...great for instantly knowing where a parasiting skulk is hiding or as an immediate alarm to silenced bites.
However these I can appreciate:

We are blocking ###### like that.
This is already the default behaviour in the game, the mod (at least the one I have installed) just changes the image used for the damage indicator so that it's easier to understand. It makes it more like NS1... I don't see that as cheating, it's only a UI mod.
I mean, I installed a mod that makes it easier to see marines and aliens on the minimap by changing them to green and red instead of blue and yellow, is that also cheating? :P

I use that minimap mod and a transparent map mod, but the mods that side-step or eliminate key game mechanics are what I'm concerned about. I haven't noticed the default damage indicators so they must be subtle and if so the mod isn't a problem. Thanks for pointing that out.
The semi-automatic pistol has been around forever, you just bind fire to mousewheel or use a macro. It can be lame to get killed in this way since the LMG can't even put out that much DPS, but some players really just fire that fast with their finger. Clicking ten times quickly will put a damper on your mouse movement, whereas the alternatives would not.
