Onos charge idea

Give the onos charge the ability to do damage on soemthing if you run into it. The further away you were and the faster you were going when you collide would determine the damage done to whatever you hit. Also make it heavy damage. Right now its basically a sprint.

    Charge Description:
The Onos roars and gains momentum as it charges forward, increasing its velocity over time but also reducing its ability to turn. On reaching maximum speed, Gore/Smash will do twice the damage. Charge can be interrupted by moving into a player, building, or obstacle.

Same concept should be applied to leap and shadowstep imo.

Interesting. I didn't know that it did twice damage. I'd like to see this more of a structural-focused attack. Like a battering ram. Giving an onos a viable response to armory walling. It would be cool to see it do 3x damage on structures, but maybe not any more than that, because it might make it too easy to take down power nodes with 4x (although not everything is in a location where you can get max speed charging up to it, and you expend a fair amount of energy in the charge, and nodes can have obstacles in the way).

    Like robotics factories....

The speed that the Onos can move makes absolutely no sense. Or how it seems to ride the wall as some might say.

I recommend making the Onos use it's Stomp ability automatically when you let go of the sprint button (or when you run out of energy). Similar to the way a horse will rear on it's back legs as a brake after a gallop.

You cannot use it any other time, to improve on balance, and if you mis-time a charge and there's nobody around to be knocked to the ground, it gives the Marine side a value few tenths of a second to do some damage to you before you can move again.

It would also mean you couldn't charge AWAY from a Marine base after taking a few hits, but could only run at normal speed, otherwise you'd keep stopping to Stomp, lol.
