Venom or shotgun?

Venom: very rapid fire gun, u walk slow with it, and it overheats like a mofo, but blasting over 200 bullets into someone is quite satisfing...

Shotgun: an old FPS gamer's favorite or love, you cant go wrong with this one, it doesn't overheat, u don't walk slow with it.. but, only 5 shells, and you must manually reload it, and the pump-action, makes a delayed second..

oh Venom easily beats the shotgun, at least MoH:AA's shotgun. There are some shotguns I like better, but only the REALLY big ones, like Quake

oh yes the quake1 shotties rocked, in fact i still play a lot of quake (well the linux version) on LAN, it's blast, I'm not really a shottie fan, but the shotgusn in quake 1 and 2 or great, then again both gaems have excellent gameplay, only the quake3 shotgun sucked...

Definatly the Venom gun. But I choose the Nazi flame troopers over both, they are freakin awesome.

Since I grew up on the lame 56K connection (and still am on it), my best luck online was getting guns with a large blast radius or spread fire as it is damn hard to hit people with lag.  Since I am mostly into realistic games (like MOHAA, not RTCW, although it was a tight game), I tend to use a lot of shotguns.  Miniguns are not very realistic (unless mounted), although they do kick butt.  So to make long story short, I favor shotguns, in all situations.
