<div class="IPBDescription">Wall Jumping + Mini Leap = Skill Based Movement</div>For those who remember the old mini leap from beta, I myself had always been a fan of it. I do understand the reasons for removal, but I felt it could of been changed and still kept. At the same time, a lot of people either are unaware of wall jumping or think it is a hack of a system. I myself feel it is a good compromise and alternative to the ridiculous mechanics of bhopping. However, it is still rough around the edges. My solution to making it more apparent to players, smoothing it over mechanically, and making it more useful is to combine the old mini-leap with wall hopping. While jumping off a wall, you get the small mini-leap, at a small adren cost. This can be chained continually, as long as you have energy.
This would allow more flexibility in the system by allowing new players to still be able to use it and be rewarded when they do use it successfully while allowing more skilled players to hone down the times and up their payback for successful use. On top of that, it would make the all hopping system extremely easy to understand and follow for new players, while giving skilled players better feedback on successful use of the mechanic. Lastly, it would make for a cool cinematic type affect to alien movement. Can you imagine skulks leap from wall to wall in mini leap type animations.
Of course, distance of the leap, timings, and energy cost can be adjusted to balance it out as needed.
