Timer idea

<div class="IPBDescription">A timer starts when at least two hives and two cmd stations are built</div>If, at a moment, at least two Command Stations and two Hives are built, a timer begins. This timer starts from - let's say - 15 or 20 mins, but this point can be discussed.
If the timer isnt finished yet and suddenly there is only one Hive or one Command Station left - which means one or two Hives or Command Stations have been destroyed before the timer ends, the timer is disabled and it wont return before at least two Hives and two Command Stations are built, then it will start back from 15 or 20 mins.
If the timer isnt disabled and falls to zero, this is what happens :
- If three Hives are built, the Aliens win.
- If three Command Stations are built, the Marines win.
If the timer falls to zero, and we still have only two Hives and two Command Stations and <b>nothing more</b>, here are two possible ideas, tell me which one you prefer :
1 - Draw, no winner, no loser.
2 - Overtime until we get at least three Hives, then the Aliens win, or three Command Stations, then the Marines win, but the <b>timer cannot be disabled anymore</b>, which means if the Aliens lose one Hive while the Marines got only two Command Stations, or if the Marines lose one Command Station while the Aliens got only two Hives, the overtime won't stop.

Should the Hive be grown in order to be taken in account by this Timer ?
Show the timer to all the players when it starts ? Show it when only 5 mins left ?

The second problem is just the winning team trolling and can be solved by F4. Turtles have had lots of solutions put forward from mega cysts to better hive 3 abilites.
The issue with this idea is some of the best games are when you have 2 CCs and 3 hives BUT it's still not clear who will win and these games can go on longer that 20 minutes. In your model that would always be an alien win, but in actual games it isn't.
It could much more than 20 mins.
Another idea would have been to enable this timer process only 20 minuts (or more) after the game started. Then if at least two hives and two command stations are built, the timer starts running.
