<div class="IPBDescription">probably good if everybody thought about this a little</div>I have been thinking about the community and I have noticed that we could improve the experience for players if we worked on improving the sub communities within NS2. There seems to be probably 3 sub experiences of play that people want to when they are playing. Before the game was released to the public they community was much smaller, but now since it has grown and will continue to grow we need to work on supporting these sub communities, some of which we are all already working on.
1-- pub play: The random fun of joining random severs for open for all levels of players. Some of which do not go on this form and just want a good time.
*Works fine for now, so i have no input.
2-- competitive play: The place where the veterans go because pub play gets old or frustrating lol, but hopefully we will go here to win tournaments for cash money prizes when this is ever a big esport! So this is clan tournaments/scrims and ENSL, which is a good starting place for players seeking gathers for competitive play.
*seems to be greatly support:
ns2 stats- <a href="http://ns2stats.org/" target="_blank">http://ns2stats.org/</a> + dak admin
ENSL gathers <a href="http://www.ensl.org/gathers/5310" target="_blank">http://www.ensl.org/gathers/5310</a>
To make it better spread the word to pub players trying to go competitive.
*Also for general people reading this who didnt know go to

for the competitive play forms if u want to get started.
3-- (yet to be made) pub gather play: The place you go when you want to do a quick and easy gather and play a couple rounds with temporary team for 2 games or more with
players from the the pub servers
*i guess <a href="http://www.reddit.com/r/ns2pugs/" target="_blank">http://www.reddit.com/r/ns2pugs/</a> kinda does this but there needs to be much improvement to make a easy go to place for
players wanting a slightly higher play.
* Possibly here you can make a newb commander training ground list that veterans can join, if they are so generous, and teach players on the descent strategies and organization.
There must be people wanting to get better who dont know where to start and i know i like to help teach people the basics.
****For this we can work on a website for organizing this and easily joining servers with admins. I would make one myself but i cannot figure out steams server protocol for requesting current server stats lol. (<i>PM me if you know how to write code for that </i>)I bet there are players who know how to code websites that make the ones we have soo much better.
Anyways lets support our community. I would like to see an ns2 barcraft equivalent in san francisco one day!!!
