NS2 client doesn't automatically update

<div class="IPBDescription">Stuck in build 230</div>My NS2 client won't update the new build. When I bring down the console in NS2, it says "Main Menu Initialized at Version: 230". I've tried deleting local content and re-installing, but no luck. Is there a way to manually download the build and place it into a folder? Has anyone resolved a problem similar to this?

    Try the Steam Integrity check in the Steam Library:

    - Right click on NS2
    - Select Properties
    - Go to the Local Files tab
    - Click the "Verify Integrity of Game Cache..."

    I verified the files, it completed. There was a 5% next to NS2 in the steam library, as if it was updating. I double clicked it to open and the 5% disappeared. An error pops up saying the game needs to be updated, when i try to open it.

    my friend ran into this, he was subscribed to the ns2 beta program on steam... unsubscribe to that and you should be able to update

    oh yeah completely forgot about that one, I think the NS2 beta testing program is at build 230 as well so it makes sense
