Trouble creating faces

Hi all, just been messing around with the editor and i've attempted to create a tunnel section with one entrance slanted. For some reason it won't map a face to place a texture on besides the circular entrance and exit. See pic:

So what is it I am doing wrong? Or is there possibly an easier way of creating something like this?

You shouldn't really build anything with lines and try to create faces. Just start with simple shapes wherever possible. There are a few ways to do it, but this is one way:

Start with a simple circle on grid 32/16 or something. Draw another circle inside. The visual grid might go to a strange angle, but draw the inside circle anyway, then select the inner circle's verts, and move them to the middle with the Move Tool. If you are on 32/16 it should snap to the middle. You can use the Scale tool to make the inner circle bigger/smaller if you want.

Move the bottom verts individually until they are flat for the floor. Now select all of them and scale to whatever shape you want.

Extrude the middle circle. (I just noticed that if you Extrude the outer circle in the other direction instead of the middle circle, you can get one closer to the image in your picture.)

Select the verts, rotate them to any degree you want.

Keep them selected. Switch to Side view (click Perspective word in top-right of viewport). Press Z to zoom view to them. Use the Scale tool and drag the dots at the bottom/top of the green line (Y axis) until you see the lines straighten. Use grid size 1 to get the perfect alignment.

Stardog, that's perfect! Appreciate the help and the quick response!

Is there a wiki this can be added too? I'd imagine this style could be useful to other mappers out there.
