I Need Help. I Need Oficial Tech Support

problems
i bought the game on steam and offered it to a friend as well.

but we both have the same problem.

the game has problems when listing servers to play. and problems when connecting.
the game feels broken. its been 2 weeks since i stopped trying to play.

some simple questions:
why cant i use ctrl+c ctrl+v to copy a server into the console? (fix this!)

why cant i have a stable list of favourite servers? like in old counter strike of hl:dm? why do i have to wait for a new list? can i have my own list? (fix this!!!)

and last, why does the game have this kind of problems and why didnt the last patch solved them? i remember i had problems like this with tf2 some years ago and i did found a solution on the oficial forums. all i had to do was to open some ports on the router. why can't i find some out of the box solutions for this?

and last of all, some details:

me and my friend use diferent internet companies. so, diferents routers as well, and diferent computers. i use a laptop pc, he uses a laptop mac.

i sometimes have that number on the top right of the screen move to some random number. i guess that says the number of servers found. but still my list is blanc! no servers listed. the game feels broken and im hugelly disapointed with unknown worlds.

please, take some time to answer me, don't let this be just another frustrated complaint going down the drain.

    Laughter is good! :)

You posted this problem on a day the steam servers went off for a while, kicking NS2 to the curb with it. Have you read this thread?

If this problem is not what you're experiencing, I'm going to have to ask you to go through "the works" as I lovingly call it.

    1. Verify NS2 game cache
    2. Reinstall NS2
    3. Check router anyway (can you hook up the laptop directly to the modem to test?)
    4. Check console when you start the game, any error messages?

Any additional information you can provide might be helpful. Thank you!
