Black screen and colored boxes

Please help, I just bought the game today and when I tried loading a map, this stupid bug came and I couldn't play because the screen was black and I couldn't see any text due to the boxes.

    I'd check the integrity of your steam files first. To do this, go to your Steam Library and find Natural Selection 2. Right click it and select Properties, then on the Local Files tab, use the "Verify integrity of game cache..."

    First rule of thumb when asking for technical support, provide platform details.
    What hardware are you using? Which operating system? Also, I fail to see the
    point of bumping your own thread within five minutes.

    With the etiquette lesson out of the way, this is what I can think of from the top of my head.

    Try deleting the cache in appdata. Also, if you have a AMD GPU and you're forcing AA through
    CCC turn that off. While you're at it, make sure you've got the latest set of drivers.
    This might be an issue with texture streaming as well. Try turning that off.
