Few Editor Questions

I have recently started using the editor so it's all still very new to me. Most of the editor seems very straight forward but I did have a few things I couldn't figure out.
1- Is there a way to extrude multiple surfaces/edges at the same time?
2 - Is there a way to resize textures at the same time instead of having to do it per surface? (Not talking about the center/fit/align options, I mean the scaling tool that comes up with the paint tool selected)
3 - Is there a quick way to hide and unhide selected props or is layers the only way to do it?
4 - Is there a way to break vertices like you would in 3ds max? Basically wanting the ability to separate a vertice and move it without moving a wall its connected to
5 - Is there a way to flip the objects orientation without throwing half of the object off grid? In UE3 I only need to place the pivot at a specific corner of bsp brush etc before flipping, is there anything similar in Spark Editor?
Thanks!

As in, it has barely changed from when they first implemented it, besides bugfixes, not that many new features have come wi
