stuck on nothing

<div class="IPBDescription">HELP!</div>Hello I made a map and I have certain spots normally where edges meet and next to ladders where The player will sort of get stuck in geometry... and can not move. Why does this happen and how can I fix it?

    load your map, go to the console, type "cheats 1" without quotes, then type "thirdperson" without quotes. then go to where you got stuck and screen shot it. then post it here so we can see what's going on. ladders need the ladder entity to work properly, could be some kind of geometry or prop that you're getting stuck on. not sure. let's see the screenshot.

    You can get stuck in the "borders" of one-sided faces, make sure everything is welded (as in constructed with the line tool, not using the Weld functionality), or 2sided at least.

    Or if you have props just make sure the edges are not exposed.

    take into consideration the pitfalls of designing a "level over level" map. while it can create a good time for players, for commanders trying to drop medpacks or place structures, it can be extremely frustrating. If you use level over level, only do it for a small unimportant area, like a vent or something.

    from the pictures, you may also want to widen the ladder hatch and then check the ladder entity. you can physically resize this in all axes (speeling?) and while i haven't tested with them recently, i always kept mine to a minimal area right in front of the rungs on the ladder with a little overhang on the sides so you can hit it from an angle.

    This Map will be the first fully custom map for the Mod Sanity. It is posted in the Sanity topic section in the mod section. Also this map will enter play testing in the next week or two while we try and get into a solid Beta for the mod.
