<div class="IPBDescription">just a wonderful idea</div>Simple one line suggestion im sure has been yelled from the server owners... Made the code able to run on multicore (really multicore) processors. This one core stuff is killing me.

my i5's that are simple yet what i have lying around are quad core i5's and it pegs one core ( i knew before i installed ) but really if i can get multicore server stability would be perfect.

As always, the preferred solution is to reduce per core usage rather than just spreading it over multiple ones. The issue is that NS2 isn't as well-suited to the current server hosting paradigm of lower clockspeed (2-3GHz), multiple cores (8 or more) as desired.

Agreed. I'd rather have a single-core lower CPU usage than high CPU multi-core usage.
Server Hosts will charge more otherwise and that won't help grow the NS2 community.

i myself run this off of a I5 quad core with 4 gigs of ram, its a spare machine at my house, i run both my servers from them... if it would spread... i would have 0 problem, right now 24 goes... well iffy i have lag spikes of over 9k on my servers and im assuming its due to my Hardware
