Do enough people play?

Hi i figure posting a thread on the official site is the best way to find out, how many people play this game? You see i want to purchase it, but i hate buying games and then finding nothing but empty servers. Can anyone tell me on average how many servers are up and have players on (10+ players) on at least the west coast of the U.S.? Like i said i REALLY want this game, but i've purchased multiplayer only games before just to find out no one plays it. Thanks

It averages between 2k and 10k at the same time, depending on the day. We had more on than CS:GO last weekend. There's usually between 15-50 full servers up during active hours, with server capacity ranging from 18 player to 24.

Know pain

It doesn't really matter how many players play, enough old school NS1 players play. It only matters if people keep on buying the game. Although getting a Hughnicorn in the game might help a bit.

I'd say NS2 has been averaging between 3-4k concurrent players since the release.
