Mreq - Low Polygon Models

Alright this thread is strictly for and about low poly models for ns, no off-topic please, its not appreciated for this important topic

Now could a kind group of modelers come together and make a giant low-poly pack for ns? make the defense towers, sensory towers, movement towers, offensive towers, hives all lower poly

and

make all marine structures low poly but please make all these structures with the animations given to the original model and please make them resemble the original model this would help make the NS community grow and flourish with new people with low-end pc's for me and many others, when we load up ns in the ready rom we get 20 fps, then when we pick a team its total madness, 5-8 frames per second, that rate can really frustrate and annoy the mind, i hope you understand our pain, just type fps_max 6 next time you play and thats how it is for us, maybe worse

wow dude, thats low. i have a 32mb tnt2 and it puts out 30fps constant... only lags when i have bots.

I get pretty bad and although I'm all for a low poly pack, I wouldn't use it.

I'm on a higher end system, I could see commander mode models being lower poly (not spirits though) and just haveing the tops modeled, but the player models would be nice to be cranked up.

low polygon models is a VERY good idea. Should help some of those poorer computers out there, to handle the net.

Ive tried every tweak in existance, doesnt improve my framerate at all because my processor limits my fps, so low poly is the only way and i wont be getting a pc anytime soon considering my ignorant family and their assumptions

I am sure u will find some very soon...You could mesh up a few boxes with triangles on surface..and just stick a skin over it :-) gl finding models
