<div class="IPBDescription">Not working properly...</div>So I thought consistency checking was in, menumod stopped working once I had joined a sever once, which really ruined my ability to use the mod. I put up with this, as it was needed to prevent cheating by changing the client files, or so I thought...

Apparently you are free to change any textures you want, bright green aliens/weapons/marines.

So as it stands you ruined the use of non in-game mods like menumod, yet still allow easily cheating (it takes perhaps 5mins with photoshop to get marines/aliens bright green).

This really does not seem to make any sense? Is there something I am missing?

I just tested this on several US and EU official UWE servers, Team 156, HBZ and YO Clan, all allowed modifications to the ingame textures. So it is definately not down to servers specifically allowing it, unless all these do, but I find that hard to believe.

By default the DDS files are not checked, but as I said in the other thread (similar to this one). There should definitely be a whitelist option for the workshop to exclude mods like menumod and perhaps some aesthetic mods and definitely exclude the crosshair mods. I'm locking this one and will direct you to the other thread as it has more responses already :)
