When I'm placing brushes, say a ceiling ontop of a wall, it is constantly reverting my texturing on existing brushes that have already been set. Is there a way to avoid this?

not that i've found, its a bit of a bug.
i'd recommend you don't texture anything until you happy with your geometry - but of course thats hard to do. Especially when your putting in details later on.
a lot of mappers tend to create a new face everytime(we don't use brushes any more :P). And then manipulate that face to fit etc. I personally find that too slow but i guess i pay the price later on when it comes to texturing
That sounds like a really bad work flow to create a brush and than manip it to the spot you need. Do you know if the editor is getting updates with the game post launch?
