<div class="IPBDescription">Check Space Engine.</div>Hi,

while it's certainly nicer and better suiting to paint one owns skybox panorama for a map, many of you fellas may not have the skills for this. So - check out Space Engine.

<!--quoteo--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->SpaceEngine - is a free space simulation software that lets you explore the universe in three dimensions, starting from planet Earth to the most distant galaxies. Areas of the known universe are represented using actual astronomical data, while regions uncharted by human astronomy are generated procedurally. Millions of galaxies, trillions of stars, countless planets!<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

It's a wonderful game and you can easily make a skybox texture if you want to. No single skybox will ever look the same. Just use CubeMap feature of SpaceEngine to export in 2048x2048 resolution and split them up into the texture files found in your map/material folder.

Of course, this skybox feature is just a little feature out of the many that this program offers. I recomend it to anyone who ever wanted to fly-through the universe and visit distand stars, nebulas and planets.

Have a glimpse:
