Serious ping issues

Hello.
Sometimes i am lucky to find 10 servers that have below 100ms of latency, but most of the time, i cant find any servers below 500 ping.
However, as soon as i'm in a game, the scoreboard tells me i have about 60ms latency, which is, in most cases, a big fat lie, because i have lots of annoying lag spikes, and its making me wanna quit this otherwise amazing game.
I've googled it, and it seems other people have the same issue. Does the people in Unkownworlds, know about this? is there a solution?
