<div class="IPBDescription">JestHosting.com for lower priced hosting</div><a href="http://jesthosting.com" target="_blank">JestHosting.com</a> is offering NS2 server hosting at $1.25 per player slot monthly.
Hardware is X3460 Intel Processor, 32GB of RAM, dual Intel SSD for all game server files.
Dedicated 100MB line in Colo4's Premium network datacenter located in Dallas Texas ensures the best latency possible for the area.
On this hardware with NS2's current performance, we recommend only hosting up to 16-18 player slots for a smooth play experience.
As the server code is optimized, you can upgrade at any time, and prices may also decline.
TCAdmin 2 web interface + NS2's web interface system provide amazing control. Steam Workshop Mod support.

Not happy with the service? We offer pro-rated refunds at any time, for any reason.

Really great service also, i ordered one yesterday from <a href="https://jestservers.com/" target="_blank">https://jestservers.com/</a> and i ran into a little trouble adding mods, got a really fast reply from him and it got fixed really fast!

If only he would host in Sweden aswell then it would be perfect for me, would even pay a little more for that =)

An outdated 2.8 GHz Nehalem-era (three generations out of date) Xeon processor, hosting 16-18 players? That sounds like a stretch. I realize it's budget hosting, but I'm really not convinced you can handle those sorts of player counts in late-game on that kind of underpowered hardware.

    JestServers.com is actually another provider.
Do you have a demo server?

<a href="http://ns2servers.devicenull.org/detail.php?id=19179" target="_blank">http://ns2servers.devicenull.org/detail.php?id=19179</a> is the test server we had going, the tick rate drops quite a bit after the entity count gets up, however players on the server didn't seem to report gameplay issues and it stayed full until the end of testing even with a default server name.

Here is our 18 slot server (now 16) which shows much larger tick dips, and would be the cut off point I'd recommend for a playable experience.

When checking on 20-24 slot servers on 4.4Ghz servers(in their server name), the tick rate drops the same amount, and playing on those myself they seem to run similar to our 16 slot server. I'd say it's a great economical choice if you only need 16 or so slots.
Hopefully as the server performance of Natural Selection 2 improves, we will be able to host more slots at an even lower price.
We're open to any suggestions or comments.
